LP to VC: Won't some of you please go away?
Interesting post from Reuters Blog about a panel discussion at the recent NVCA conference where Rebecca Connolly, a partner at Fairview Capital (FoFs) commented that she hoped that several VCs went out of business. But more interesting is Donald E. Tuttle's response to the post, where he underscores the ultimate importance of quality start-up CEOs in the first place in order to (ostensibly) maintain superior returns in the venture asset class. Donald's comments made me wonder about the actual pool of second time start-up CEOs available (size and composition)? What are the stats on moving from a 1st to 2nd time CEO?
